About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Equity Research Associate covering the Healthcare Services sector within Corporate & Investment Banking’s Markets business. The role involves developing sector expertise, analyzing financial and industry data, maintaining financial models and databases, and producing research with a Senior Analyst. The associate will engage with companies and industry contacts, communicate research conclusions to internal and external audiences, and collaborate with research peers and colleagues. The position requires independent judgment and adherence to applicable policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Up to 10% travel is expected. Appropriate FINRA licenses must be obtained or maintained, and the role is subject to FINRA background screening and ongoing regulatory obligations.

Requirements

At least 2 years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Obtain and/or maintain appropriate FINRA licenses for ongoing employment; required examinations or equivalents must be completed within the stated 90- or 180-day period when not transferable upon hire.
Complete a background check and meet applicable FINRA, state registration, licensing, and ongoing regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

A BS/BA or higher.
Direct experience in Healthcare Services or prior equity research coverage of the industry.
Ability to work effectively in a team and across organizational levels, with flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of financial statement analysis.
Knowledge of accounting principles in the capital markets industry.
Knowledge of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet.
Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate subject matter expertise in Healthcare Services, including understanding key companies and industry dynamics.
Analyze financial statements and industry, company, and market data.
Create and update financial models and databases.
Author differentiated research content on companies and industry themes with the Senior Analyst.
Attend company and industry events and cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts.
Communicate research conclusions to internal and external constituents.
Collaborate with research peers to support cross-sector research content.
Exercise independent judgment while learning the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Consult and collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
