About The Position

As a key member of Vanguard’s Portfolio Review Department (PRD), the team responsible for overseeing Vanguard’s global investment product lineup, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving innovation across our Equity Product group. This team leads high-impact, cross-functional product strategy initiatives, including stewardship of our $7.5+ trillion equity product franchise. In this role, you’ll transform complex market data into strategic insights, collaborate with senior leaders, and influence the evolution of Vanguard’s equity investment product offerings.

Requirements

  • Five years related work experience, including three years' experience in product management and investment analysis/strategy.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Equity investment experience preferred.
  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts across the enterprise to evaluate strategic opportunities and priorities, recommending additions and changes to Vanguard’s global Equity product lineup.
  • Support the prioritization and advancement of Equity product strategy initiatives by assessing opportunities, identifying key considerations and trade-offs, and driving alignment across stakeholders.
  • Independently lead Equity product research projects and strategic initiatives from inception through decision.
  • Define project scope, establish priorities and timelines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and support implementation planning and execution readiness with business partners.
  • Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative analysis of strategic, competitive, operational, and market considerations impacting Vanguard’s Equity product lineup.
  • Gather data from internal and external sources to develop evidence-based recommendations for new products and enhancements to existing offerings.
  • Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level memos, presentations, and supporting materials for governance forums and key decision-making bodies.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of industry, product, and competitive trends to support research, strategic analysis, and product decision-making.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
