About The Position
Operations Analysts at Susquehanna are responsible for maximizing efficiency of processes across the firm as well as supporting all daily trading operations. As an Operations Analyst co-op, you will gain in-depth exposure to the trading environment and various business areas at Susquehanna. You will be placed within the Equity Options/Index trading desk and be introduced to Susquehanna's hands-on education and unique culture. This position provides exposure to one of the largest trading desks at Susquehanna, and is an excellent opportunity to expand your technical skills and overall financial products knowledge. Throughout the six months, you will work on a variety of analytical projects that impact multiple areas of the business and introduce you to current challenges facing our industry. Past projects include trading and profit & loss analytics, automation of operational processes and research of new business opportunities. Co-ops have the opportunity to network with coworkers across the firm as well as build strong relationships with recently graduated mentors.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Math, Computer Science or a related major
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Access
- Ability to collaborate with a team while having the confidence to work independently
- Flexibility and drive with a commitment to innovation
- Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with VBA and SQL a plus
- Previous experience in financial services or completion of finance- or investment-related coursework a plus
- Probability and Statistics background a plus
Responsibilities
- Communicating with satellite offices and exchanges about trades
- Tracking and correcting trade breaks
- Running macros that update data used in profit and loss reports
- Entering trade tickets throughout the day
- Sending hourly and final recaps of trades
- Running evening macros to update trade records
