About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Equity Derivatives Trader to join our trading desk. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of relevant experience in a flow-facing equity derivatives trading seat, with a strong understanding of options markets, pricing, risk management, and market-making dynamics. This role requires a commercially minded trader who can manage risk effectively, provide liquidity to clients, and work closely with sales, structuring, and technology teams in a fast-paced trading environment.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in equity derivatives trading, preferably in a flow-facing trading role.
  • Experience at the Associate or VP level within an investment bank, broker-dealer, market maker, or similar financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of option Greeks, volatility, skew, term structure, and derivatives pricing.
  • Demonstrated experience managing trading risk in live market conditions.
  • Prior experience with market making, client pricing, and flow risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with sales and other desk partners.
  • High attention to detail and strong understanding of trading controls and risk governance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience trading listed options, OTC equity derivatives, index options, single-stock options, or structured equity products.
  • Familiarity with volatility surfaces, dispersion, dividends, financing, and corporate action risk.
  • Programming or data analysis skills in Python, VBA, SQL, or similar tools.
  • Experience improving trading analytics, pricing models, or risk dashboards.
  • Strong commercial instincts and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Price, trade, and risk-manage flow equity derivative products across relevant markets and client segments.
  • Provide competitive markets and liquidity to institutional clients in a flow-facing capacity.
  • Manage real-time trading risk, including delta, gamma, vega, theta, skew, and correlation exposures.
  • Monitor market conditions, volatility dynamics, positioning, and macro developments impacting equity derivatives.
  • Support and develop market-making strategies across listed and/or OTC equity derivatives.
  • Work closely with sales teams to understand client demand and deliver timely, risk-aware pricing.
  • Collaborate with structuring, quant, technology, and operations teams to improve pricing tools, risk systems, and trade execution.
  • Maintain a disciplined approach to P&L attribution, risk limits, hedging, and inventory management.
  • Ensure all trading activity is conducted in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best execution standards.
