About The Position

The Equities Sector Specialist supports client coverage and content creation across the Franchise Trading business within GBM Public. The role provides exposure to the entire sector specialist team, with the opportunity to specialize in a vertical over time. The position may be filled at the Analyst or Associate level.

Requirements

• Financial analysis skills, including the ability to conduct primary research on public and private issuers and critically review and analyze financial statements.
• Basic working knowledge of financial valuation and concepts.
• Detail-oriented with keen attention to detail.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Strong work ethic, high motivation, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to help drive efficiency and new workflows via AI.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• 1–5 years of finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform micro and macro analysis through meetings with equity research, listening to company conference calls, and tracking industry and company data.
• Help coordinate and write Sector Specialist Team content pieces.
• Provide macro and micro advisory services to clients of the firm.
• Perform sector-specific research and analysis as needed.
