About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring for Equipment & Tool Engineers – Asset Engineering (Associate, Mid-level, or Senior) to join the Equipment & Tool Engineering organization in North Charleston, SC. The selected candidates will join one of our specialized teams here at Boeing South Carolina. Additionally, these individuals will align with specific areas within our 787 Equipment & Tool Engineering or Equipment and Reliability Engineering teams, including Asset Engineering, Integration and Systems, Software and Controls, Stress and Structural, or Electrical Systems. Our team is currently hiring for a range of experience levels including Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior Equipment & Tool Engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 2 or more years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ABET accredited degree, Washington Accord

Responsibilities

  • Supports the evaluation of program and project requirements, develops moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.
  • Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates for equipment and tooling.
  • Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
  • Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
  • Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
  • Develops and implements moderately complex work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
  • Supports studies for disposition of assets.
