About The Position

Evaluates business unit and project requirements and develops complex equipment concepts and design solutions for the Production System. Generates complex equipment specifications and corresponding verification or validation test protocols for production system assets. Addresses reliability and obsolescence issues by analyzing maintenance and spare parts usage records to optimize performance and reduce costs. Optimizes high precision milling, forming, and other metal processing equipment for safety, ergonomics, quality, flow, reliability, and maintainability. Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements. Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, and prepares plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares. Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software, and documentation. Manages asset lifecycle, asset documentation, and preventative maintenance plans for critical production assets. Conducts equipment health assessments and ensures compliance with regulations and standards. Performs project management, testing, and commissioning of complex automated system projects including new acquisitions and modifications.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
  • 5 or more years of related engineering work experience.
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques including milling and forming processes.
  • Experience developing and implementing asset reliability systems for production equipment.
  • Experience coordinating with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and procurement agents to manage schedules and budgets for equipment projects.
  • Experience working in a production environment with high precision metal processing equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years of project management experience supporting complex technical projects, evaluating and selecting equipment solutions, and assessing spare parts inventory in a production environment.
  • 1 or more years of experience working with hardware, software, and documentation configuration management.
  • 1 or more years of experience working to industry standards including compliance with hardware and safety codes.
