About The Position

The Equipment Technician plays a critical role in supporting golf course operations by ensuring all equipment is properly maintained, repaired, and ready for daily use. As part of the Agronomy team, your essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Inspect golf course maintenance equipment for operating deficiencies. Perform minor and major mechanical repairs on gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment. Conduct preventative maintenance, including lubrication, servicing, sharpening, and precise adjustment of cutting units. Maintain accurate and timely repair and maintenance records. Follow all safety procedures and equipment standards at all times. Operate and continue developing skills in MIG and ARC welding. Utilize computer systems for maintenance tracking and diagnostics. Fabricate parts and tools as needed to support equipment functionality. Use hydraulic and electrical testing equipment to diagnose and repair issues. Support overall agronomy operations through collaboration with equipment and course management leadership. Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate a courteous, service-oriented demeanor when interacting with members, guests, and staff. Adheres to all Dormie Network’s policies, procedures and service standards. Work collaboratively with all employees to support an efficient and positive team environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to read and interpret operations manuals, safety documentation, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Nice To Haves

  • some college coursework preferred
  • Working knowledge of internal combustion engines, mower grinding, sharpening, and equipment adjustment preferred.
