About The Position

The Equipment Technician is responsible for assisting in the equipment maintenance and repair operations for the Golf Course Maintenance department. Located just 15 miles outside of downtown New Orleans in Avondale, TPC Louisiana offers an award-winning championship golf course that is open to the public to enjoy. TPC Louisiana is home to the state’s only PGA TOUR event, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and hosts many other events throughout the year. Requirements

• High school education, and preferably secondary course of study in mechanics, or trades training plus at least one year’s mechanical experience working with small engine repair and/or turf equipment, or equivalent experience in turf equipment management.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Equipment Manager in appropriate preventative and curative maintenance required for all golf course equipment maintenance operations.
• Completes daily service records.
• Assist the Equipment Manager in maintaining appropriate parts inventory.
• Ensures that the equipment maintenance shop and appropriate areas are kept clean, organized, and provide a safe working environment for staff members.
• Must be thoroughly trained in the procedures of each task before performing such tasks.
• Must follow the guidelines in the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual for each specific task.
• Required to wear personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment to comply with established safety operating standards.
• Special projects or other duties as assigned.
