About The Position

The Equipment Technician assists with equipment maintenance and repair operations for the Golf Course Maintenance department at TPC Scottsdale. The role supports preventative and corrective maintenance of golf course equipment, completes service records, helps maintain parts inventory, and keeps the equipment shop and related work areas clean, organized, and safe. The technician must be trained in task procedures, follow the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual, and comply with safety requirements, including using required protective clothing and equipment.

The position involves active work in varied outdoor weather conditions and may require lifting, pushing, or pulling more than 25 pounds and moving or lifting awkwardly weighted items. Travel is not expected. Shifts are scheduled as necessary based on business levels. The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school education.
• At least one year of mechanical experience working with small engine repair and/or turf equipment, or equivalent experience in turf equipment management.
• Ability to comply with applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.
• Ability to perform active work that may involve lifting, pushing, or pulling more than 25 pounds and moving or lifting items with awkward weights.
• Required vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Secondary coursework in mechanics or trades training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Equipment Manager with preventative and corrective maintenance for golf course equipment maintenance operations.
• Complete daily service records.
• Assist the Equipment Manager in maintaining appropriate parts inventory.
• Keep the equipment maintenance shop and appropriate areas clean, organized, and safe for staff.
• Be thoroughly trained in the procedures for each task before performing it.
• Follow the Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual guidelines for each specific task.
• Wear required personal protective clothing and/or use protective equipment in accordance with safety operating standards.
• Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
