About The Position

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Plant Utility Technician based out of our Lake Lynn, PA Quarry to play a crucial role in supporting a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA Safety standards in our East Region. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment according to company standards.

Requirements

Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
Have a positive attitude
The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required and lift weights up to 60 pounds.
The ability to take directions from a supervisor.
The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
A maintenance background in crushing and screening
High school diploma or GED equivalent

Nice To Haves

Fabrication and welding ability is a plus.
Part 48 MSHA training a plus
2-10 years of experience in aggregates or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead a crew of personnel on second shift directing a duty and overseeing plant production
Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
Maintain and repair plant equipment according to company standards.
Be involved with maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Pre-shift equipment for safety defects and report them to a supervisor.
Work on plant equipment such as Conveyors, Screens, Crushers.
Learn to run crushing and screening equipment along with mobile plant equipment such as loaders and haul trucks.
