The Equipment Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on emission testing equipment, managing parts inventory, and ensuring accurate documentation. This role supports station management and requires a proactive approach to operational excellence, reporting to the Systems Support Manager.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a current, active, and unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
• Ability to build a good working relationship with station and HQ personnel.
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced, busy shop environment with a smile and positive attitude.
• Commitment to working safely around operating motor vehicles.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of electronics and mechanics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to Emission Testing Equipment.
• Participate in company-provided training for equipment including Computers, Peripherals, Printers, Gas Analyzers, Dynamometers, RPM Units, OBD Units, Bar Code Readers, and Pneumatics.
• Perform parts inventory and requisition supplies as needed.
• Complete necessary paperwork and record all maintenance and repair activity.
• Provide station management with phone consultation regarding immediate equipment issues when not yet on-site.
• Other duties as assigned by management team.
