About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring equipment is handled and adjusted according to manufacturer guidelines and Winter4Kids procedures. The Equipment Tech will coordinate the preparation and distribution of participant gear, inspect equipment for condition and proper function, and maintain accurate records of equipment testing, adjustment, maintenance, and issuance. A key aspect of this role is maintaining an organized system for equipment and gear to support efficient participant flow, as well as ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The position also involves direct guest interaction, including explaining gear operation and safety, answering questions, gathering profile data, and correctly sizing boots, skis, snowboards, and helmets. The Equipment Tech will identify and report equipment concerns for repair or replacement and model and enforce safety procedures and operational standards. Other duties to support Winter4Kids programs and operations may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure equipment is handled and adjusted in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and Winter4Kids procedures.
  • Coordinate the preparation and distribution of participant gear, including jackets, pants, gloves, and helmets.
  • Inspect equipment and participant gear for condition, proper function, and program readiness.
  • Maintain accurate equipment testing, adjustment, maintenance, and issue records.
  • Maintain an organized equipment and participant gear system that supports efficient participant arrival, fitting, and departure.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe department work environment.
  • Clearly explain basic gear operation and safety instructions to guests, answering questions regarding fit and function.
  • Greet guests, gather accurate profile data (height, weight, age, skier type, boot size), and correctly size boots, skis, snowboards, and helmets.
  • Identify equipment concerns and coordinate repair or replacement needs with the appropriate manager.
  • Model and enforce established safety procedures and operational standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Winter4Kids programs and operations.
