About The Position
Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Equipment Tech based out of our Eaves Loop mine Merryville, LA. This role is responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and general mechanical work to support the safe and reliable operation of plant and mobile equipment.
Requirements
- Additional skills and experience including welding, cutting, fabrication, etc (required)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Min 2 years’ experience
Nice To Haves
- Mechanical knowledge of mining equipment including conveyors, screening plants, dredges, mobile equipment, etc.
Responsibilities
- Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
- Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
- Perform housekeeping around the plant or heavy mobile equipment in a mining environment
- Knowledge of basic preventative maintenance on production equipment and plant maintenance
- Mechanical knowledge of mining equipment including conveyors, screening plants, dredges, mobile equipment, etc. (preferred, not required)
- Additional skills and experience including welding, cutting, fabrication, etc (required)
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
- Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
- Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
