Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, adjustments and replacement of manufacturing, packaging, facilities and select QC equipment. Performs setup and disassembly of packaging equipment and provides support during production runs. Responsible for building and utility (e.g. compressed air, boiler and purified water system) maintenance. Performs non-routine and repetitive duties under supervision. Must be able to locate and diagnose failures and perform basic troubleshooting from detailed specifications. Proper use and knowledge of hand and power tools. Follows FLI's packaging equipment set-up and operation requirements; knowledge of cGMPs. Evaluates new packaging components for compatibility with packaging equipment and obtains quotations for necessary change parts. Applies knowledge of building utility systems (electrical, compressed air, boiler system, steam delivery piping and domestic water systems). Performs preventative and corrective maintenance methods and systems. Assumes major role in assigned projects (process improvements, etc.) Interacts with other department members in a team environment. Fabricate using general shop equipment (drill press, band saw, etc.) Provide vendor support on minor and major projects including equipment installations, modifications and/or decommissioning, etc. Perform minor repairs and maintenance to air handling systems. Knowledge, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the equipment throughout facility (PD, AMD, MFG, PKG, Micro, Warehouse, etc.) Writes and revises basic Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) that support the routine operations of the facilities engineering department. Operates material handling equipment including tank movers, pallet jacks and lift trucks (both manual and self-propelled).
