About The Position

Flexpak is seeking an Equipment Service Technician to join our Colorado team and help keep our customers’ operations running smoothly. As a growing packaging company, we build lasting customer relationships by delivering on our promise to Expect Extraordinary. If you enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, solving mechanical challenges, and working directly with customers, this role offers the opportunity to put your technical skills to work across a variety of automated packaging equipment. You’ll install, diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment at customer locations, provide preventive maintenance and basic operating training, and coordinate parts and service records. Through customer visits and factory training, you’ll expand your equipment knowledge while helping customers reduce downtime and get the most from their packaging systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience as a mechanical technician or equivalent technical service experience.
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations, including occasional overnight travel and factory training.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear, professional communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including climbing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, and repetitive hand movements; using tools and handling parts; and communicating and observing equipment operation.

Responsibilities

  • Install, diagnose, repair, and service automated packaging equipment and tooling at customer locations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues using technical manuals and manufacturer resources.
  • Prepare, submit, and maintain accurate work orders, service records, and parts-order documentation.
  • Communicate service outcomes and follow-up needs to customers, the sales team, and business partners.
  • Provide customers with basic equipment operating training.
  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships through clear, professional communication.
  • Source and order replacement parts for equipment.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of parts and tools.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workshop.
  • Safely operate a company vehicle when traveling to customer locations.
  • Attend factory training sessions and participate in occasional overnight travel for customer visits and training.
