About The Position

Walter Payton Power Equipment is seeking a competitive Sales Representative/Crane Specialist to cover established territory in Northern and Central Indiana. This position will be based out of their facility in Lebanon, IN. The Crane Sales Specialist will report to the Regional Manager and will be instrumental in achieving the branch business plan through profitable revenue generation. The company is the largest crane and heavy equipment distributor in the Midwest and part of the largest Manitowoc and Grove dealer in the world, representing multiple brands.

Requirements

5+ years sales experience in crane and or construction equipment sales and rental business
Strong planning problem-solving and negotiation skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of construction or related equipment is preferred
Comparable industry experience, a strong sales acumen and record of achievement will also be considered
Experience using a CRM program like Sales Force is a plus
Independent candidates possessing strong teamwork and organizational skills
Associates degree is preferred

Responsibilities

Increase sales, rentals, parts and service revenues for the branch
Establishing new sales, rentals, parts and service accounts through cold calling and personal visits to potential customer locations and jobsites
Offering our full range of products and services to new and current customers
Working with all branch departments to ensure total customer satisfaction
Educating customers about our equipment and by selling features and benefits
