About The Position

ANCC Magnet designated UPMC Passavant is currently hiring a Full-Time Equipment Reprocessor to support our GI Lab at the McCandless location. This role involves Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts with variable start times between 6am and 8:30am, with weekends and holidays off. Shift and scheduling details will be further discussed during the interview.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Act 34

Nice To Haves

• Previous employment or training as an Endoscopy Technician or other medical specialty such as Central Service Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate accurate cleaning and disinfection procedures for all endoscopes and accessories.
• Adhere to universal infection control guidelines when cleaning and disinfecting scopes and accessories.
• Contribute to an efficient work and team environment.
• Assume responsibility for own development.
• Maintain unit standards of quality control and safety.
• Demonstrate proper handling techniques for scopes and accessories.
• Contribute to maintaining a neat, clean and safe environment.
