Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a other engineering discipline
1+ years of experience with the design, construction, or maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) building systems (internship, extracurricular, or academic experience is applicable)
Provide 24/7 on-call support of all critical activities and emergency situations.
Ability to stand, crawl, stoop, and push or lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted
Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts when needed
Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet critical milestones
This position will sit 100% onsite in our Canandaigua, NY facility. Remote work not considered
Aptitude to work as part of a team and also independently

Nice To Haves

Direct work experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar engineering design software
Experience in conceptual design and budgeting for capital projects
Experience managing contracts for large capital projects
Experience leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) processes for aerospace or heavy industrial projects
Experience with electrical and power distribution systems
Knowledge of HVAC operation and design principles, including refrigeration, chillers, boilers, and air handling equipment
Experience with plumbing systems, including domestic water, wastewater, venting, and storm systems
Experience with critical power infrastructure, including UPS systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches
Experience developing and implementing process or design solutions with minimal impact to operations
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code, ASHRAE, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and International Building Code

Responsibilities

Lead internal project teams, consulting engineers, and contractors through the full mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance process to deliver projects on time and within budget
Provide technical engineering support to ensure all construction and maintenance work complies with codes, standards, and specifications
Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and upgrades for HVAC, electrical, cranes, and facility systems to maintain high uptime and reliability
Manage the capital expenditure process, including reviews, approvals, and execution of site projects to meet technical requirements, budgets, and deadlines
Support onboarding and commissioning of new equipment while implementing reliability programs to reduce downtime before equipment enters production
Respond to facility emergencies and maintains readiness procedures to protect operations from environmental threats
