This role is responsible for leading and supporting capital equipment projects across their full lifecycle within a mining or heavy industrial environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating planning and execution activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and in alignment with operational and organizational requirements.
Requirements
- Experience managing mining or heavy industrial projects through all stages of delivery (concept through execution).
- 10+ years combined experience in mobile equipment, project management, or related mining/industrial roles.
- Underground mining experience required.
- Both technical (engineering/technologist) and trades backgrounds will be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with equipment rebuilds, maintenance, or manufacturing projects considered an asset.
- SAP experience considered an asset.
- PMP certification considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple capital equipment projects across all phases, from concept and planning through to execution and close-out
- Ensure projects are delivered in alignment with scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Oversee project planning and execution activities to maintain productivity, efficiency, and compliance with applicable industry standards
- Manage internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and project teams
- Identify and secure required resources to support project delivery
- Prepare and present project status updates to management
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as required
- Promote strong safety culture and consistent project delivery standards
