This role is responsible for leading and supporting capital equipment projects across their full lifecycle within a mining or heavy industrial environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating planning and execution activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and in alignment with operational and organizational requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience managing mining or heavy industrial projects through all stages of delivery (concept through execution).
  • 10+ years combined experience in mobile equipment, project management, or related mining/industrial roles.
  • Underground mining experience required.
  • Both technical (engineering/technologist) and trades backgrounds will be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with equipment rebuilds, maintenance, or manufacturing projects considered an asset.
  • SAP experience considered an asset.
  • PMP certification considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple capital equipment projects across all phases, from concept and planning through to execution and close-out
  • Ensure projects are delivered in alignment with scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, and environmental standards
  • Oversee project planning and execution activities to maintain productivity, efficiency, and compliance with applicable industry standards
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and project teams
  • Identify and secure required resources to support project delivery
  • Prepare and present project status updates to management
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as required
  • Promote strong safety culture and consistent project delivery standards
