The Equipment Programmer is responsible for developing and optimizing programs that control the operation of the equipment. This role involves creating drawings and 3D models, developing and revising software programs for equipment operation, and programming various machinery including Amada EMK, Amada Pega, Amada 6k Fiber Laser, Standard & Niagara Press Brakes, RAS MiniBender, Schechtl & Schroder Folders, and Orion Cobot. The programmer must understand customer requirements and translate them into executable software programs. Responsibilities include launching new products, conducting trials and simulations, training manufacturing team members on new controls and software, ensuring quality assurance, troubleshooting equipment with outside suppliers, maintaining inventory for specific machinery, and managing electronic folders for programs and part details. The role also includes performing other duties as assigned, working safely, following safety rules, and maintaining housekeeping of responsible areas.
