Equipment Preparation and Installation Technician
About The Position
As an Equipment Preparation and Installation Technician at Sodexo, you will prepare, install, relocate, and repair vending, coffee, and retail Point of Sale (POS) equipment. You will ensure machines are fully functional, clean, and compliant before deployment. The role involves safely moving heavy equipment at customer sites, maintaining an organized workspace and inventory, and following documentation protocols. You will use a variety of tools for mechanical and cosmetic repairs and remain professional during customer interactions. Regular communication with service management, back-office teams, operations, and sales is expected to coordinate efficient service and delivery. Responsibilities may vary by account based on business needs and client requirements. The position is located at INREACH DALLAS. The stated schedule is weekdays on morning shifts; further details will be provided during the interview process.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- One or more years of related experience repairing and maintaining commercial equipment, preferably vending machines, market kiosks, and coffee equipment, or experience in HVAC or electrical/plumbing.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and install vending, coffee, and retail point-of-sale equipment and related devices.
- Test machine operation, perform mechanical and cosmetic repairs, and clean machines.
- Move, install, and remove equipment to and from customer sites.
- Safely reach, bend, stoop, push or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds; occasionally push, pull, lift, or move up to 50 pounds.
- Attend work and report for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity.
- Communicate regularly with service management, back-office teams, operations, and sales to coordinate service and delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary by account and client requirements.
