About The Position

The Mine Operations Department is responsible for the safe, efficient movement of materials. The successful applicants will be required to operate Haul Trucks and other various equipment used in the department. This may include but not be limited to: Rubber Tire Dozers, Graders, Haul Trucks, and Loaders. Perform and document a thorough pre-operational inspection to evaluate the safety and mechanical condition of the equipment. All work must be completed in a safe and efficient manner while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect the company’s values.

Requirements

Two plus year operating equipment in an open pit mine environment.
Excellent attitude towards Safety and the continued success of Carlota.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of Mine Operations Equipment fleets including operating and basic maintenance of such equipment.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to positively interact with people.
Valid Driver’s License.
Follow verbal and written directions and instructions.
Positive attitude.
Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
General understanding of mechanical functions preferred but not required.
