About The Position

As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse of various forms through Reworld's industrial disposal process. The hours for this position will be 1st shift from 5:00 am - 3:00 pm or 2nd shift from 1:30pm-10pm.

Requirements

  • Two year’s experience in the operation of excavator and/or mechanical equipment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to take appropriate safe action on their own initiative to prevent equipment damage or injury to personnel during emergencies or unusual situations.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate and inspect forklifts, roll off truck, yard truck, excavator, loaders and skid steer.
  • Manage the safe operation of the site’s equipment in the assigned areas.
  • Conduct daily motorized machinery inspections on the site’s equipment.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by management including plant operations
