About The Position

Taylor Corporation is seeking an Equipment Operator in our Fridley-MN facility who is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining equipment while ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards. You will play a crucial role in daily operations and contributing to production goals. Requirements

Machine Operation experience
Ability to comprehend number sequencing and recognize errors
Ability to work with numbers
Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance

Responsibilities

Setup, operate, and monitor complex machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules
Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to identify potential issues before they impact production
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime
Train and mentor new and existing employees on machinery operation, safety protocols, best practices, and quality expectations
Delegate tasks effectively to enhance team productivity and maintain a smooth workflow
Serve as a positive role model, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
Provide regular updates to the Production Supervisor on equipment status, production metrics, and any issues encountered
Maintain accurate and detailed records related to equipment performance, production output, and maintenance activities
Ensure compliance with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental regulations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all departmental policies and procedures
Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consistently and correctly
Maintain accurate data entry for time keeping, job costing, and MRP job tracking
Ability to setup of equipment for new products and complex projects
Materials management – request materials required to maintain productivity
