About The Position

Mid Valley Disposal is looking for skilled and safety-driven Equipment Operators to support our Compost and Transfer Station operations. If you’re comfortable working with heavy machinery, take pride in maintaining equipment, and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, this is a great opportunity to join a team that keeps essential operations moving every day. You’ll play a key role in keeping materials flowing safely and efficiently by operating heavy equipment and supporting daily site operations.

Requirements

Experience operating heavy equipment (loaders, forklifts, excavators, or similar)
Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with equipment inspections
Strong attention to safety and detail
Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
Comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding environment
High School Diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Shift Flexible
Experience in composting, waste, or industrial operations

Responsibilities

Operate front-end loaders, excavators, grinders, screens, forklifts, and related equipment
Perform daily inspections and report maintenance needs
Keep equipment clean and in good working condition
Follow daily production schedules and safety protocols
Process organic materials through grinding, screening, and loading systems
Monitor compost quality and system performance
Load materials into bunkers and transfer trailers
Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready yard
Move, sort, and load materials on the tipping floor
Monitor incoming loads for contamination or hazardous waste
Direct traffic and assist drivers as needed
Help maintain a clean and safe working environment
