About The Position

Responsible for the operation of daily inspection of the front-end loaders on the Tipping Floor or in the Residue Storage and Processing Building (ash storage area).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in the operation of heavy industrial machinery is preferred.
  • Formal technical or apprentice training is desirable, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively with supervisors and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to follow Reworld safety rules.
  • Ability to log onto a computer and complete online assigned training.
  • Have the ability to don and wear a negative pressure respirator in accordance with OSHA Regulation 29 CFR 1910.134.
  • Ability to wear Reworld required PPE for the job and the assigned task.
  • Employees are frequently required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands or arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance” and stoop, kneel, or crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision ability required by this job included close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily inspection and safe operation of all mobile equipment.
  • Safe and effective operations on the Tipping Floor, Residue Storage and Refuse Crane
  • Sweep/shovel floors in buildings when required, ensure roadways around the building are maintained daily to maintain compliance with ash track out.
  • Wash all equipment weekly.
  • Wash down the floor and walls periodically.
  • Pick up loose debris along roadways.
  • Complete the required Reworld training for EO within the assigned timelines.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
