This role will assist in the construction of roads, sidewalks, and parking lots. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, display team spirit, and possess excellent communication skills, a team player mentality, a strong belief in hard work and quality production, the ability to take direction in a fast-paced environment, a positive attitude, and treat colleagues and customers with honesty and respect.

Requirements

  • RI or MA Hoisting License
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to stand for extended hours of time
  • Excellent communication and observation skills
  • Familiar with use of power and hand tools
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Must have a strong work ethic
  • Physically fit
  • Able to work long hours in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and operates heavy equipment to perform excavation tasks as instructed.
  • Greases machines on a regular basis.
  • Operates different forms of equipment including the backhoe, loader, skid steer, excavator, paver, etc.
  • Checks equipment regularly for malfunctions and reports any issues to the supervisor.
  • Performs daily maintenance of machines including fueling and greasing.
  • Performs operational duties in a safe manner.
  • Works with a variety of equipment such as rollers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and forklifts, depending on project requirements.
  • Performs routine maintenance checks.
  • Reports equipment issues.
  • Adheres to safety and environmental regulations at all times.
