About The Position

We are currently seeking a Equipment Operator for our Foreston Farm location. This position is based out of the Florenceville area, with daily work taking place throughout the surrounding region. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of farm equipment and machinery. This is a physically demanding role that requires operating power tools, performing heavy lifting, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and working safely around farm machinery. This is a temporary position with the possibility of continued employment.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work well with supervision and collaborate effectively with other employees.
  • Team player with excellent attendance.
  • Highly motivated and observant, with good initiative and a positive attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adapting to change as operational needs evolve.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and a strong “safety first” mindset.
  • Willingness to perform alternate duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating heavy equipment; farm machinery and potato farming experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain agricultural equipment such as tractors, combines, and irrigation systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and proper functioning.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Assist with planting, cultivating, harvesting, and sorting potatoes throughout the season.
  • Support daily farm operations in the Florenceville region.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work evenings and weekends as required during the busy harvesting season.
  • Adapt to alternate duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
