About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9000 employees. This role operates heavy equipment such as loaders and excavators safely and efficiently while completing daily production tasks. It involves inspecting and maintaining equipment, moving and stockpiling materials, and performing general manual labor. The position requires adherence to all safety procedures and effective communication with team members to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in an industrial or construction setting
Strong awareness of safety practices and commitment to safe work habits
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, adaptable, and able to work in a fast paced environment
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and report equipment issues
Must be 18 years of age or older
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check
Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as loaders and excavators safely and efficiently while completing daily production tasks
Inspect, maintain, and report on equipment condition before and after use to ensure proper operation
Move, load, and stockpile materials to support site operations and production needs
Perform general manual labour duties including shoveling, lifting, cleaning, and site housekeeping as required
Follow all safety procedures and communicate effectively with team members to maintain a safe and productive work environment
