Position Summary York Building Products is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate various types of equipment in a quarry and production environment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

Ability to safely operate heavy equipment.
Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures and operating instructions.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a quarry, mining, construction, or similar industrial environment.
1–2 years of experience performing preventive maintenance and lubrication services on mobile equipment.
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Safely operate heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, dozers, haul trucks, and excavators.
Perform daily inspections and routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
Report equipment issues and maintenance needs promptly.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers in a professional manner.
Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving skills, and flexibility in daily operations.
Assist with additional duties as assigned.
