About The Position

Equipment Operators are needed for projects throughout Southern Idaho. This role may require availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, and may involve travel out of town for various jobs. Knife River is committed to helping military personnel transition to civilian life and actively seeks to hire veterans, recognizing the transferable skills from military roles to their Equipment Operator positions.

Requirements

• Ability to hold and maintain a driver's license in accordance with all state regulations.
• Experience working with Excavators, Loaders and other heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the military, particularly in roles such as Pavement and Construction Equipment Journeyman/Apprentice/Helper (Air Force), Motor Transport Operator, General Construction Equipment Operator, Heavy Construction Equipment Operator, Horizontal Construction Engineer (Army), Equipment Operator Basic/Advanced (Navy), or Motor Vehicle Operator (Marines).

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, and other heavy construction equipment.
