About The Position

ContainerPort Group (CPG®), a World Group company, is seeking an experienced, safety-conscious Equipment Operator for its Columbus, Ohio operations. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all terminal operations machinery, including top lifts, forklifts, and spotters. The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating yard trucks/equipment and possess computer skills. This position offers a competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating yard truck / equipment
• Computer skills required
• Knowledge of safety regulations
• High School Diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with warehouse management systems helpful
• Experience with warehouse RF equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Install liners in shipping containers
• Picture and document any and all container conditions
• Provides daily preventative maintenance checks of equipment as required
• Escalates equipment mechanical issues to Lead Equipment Operator
• Accurately verifies freight for quality and quantity
• Performs cycle counting as required
• Communicates with others appropriately
