About The Position

Label Works, a division of Taylor Corporation, is seeking an Equipment Operator in our North Mankato-MN facility. You will work in the shipping area, responsible for packaging and shipping orders. Minimal equipment operation. We'll teach you the skills necessary to become proficient as well as product details to become a Label Expert. To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Basic computer skills
Basic math skills to read ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization
Ability to operate equipment to obtain proficiency as measured through production and quality standards
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions for work orders
Strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
Regularly required to stand, remain in a stationary position, and move throughout the facility
Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
Regularly move up to 40+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

Responsibilities

Operate automatic or semi-automatic machines in a continuous production/processing operation, including cutters, slitters, and shrink wrappers
Assist in shipping area by pre-boxing and preparing orders
Proofread and quality-check product
Clean and maintain work areas in compliance with safety regulations
Assist in other departmental areas as workload requires
