About The Position

This role involves operating various material handling equipment safely and productively. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for loading containers, sorting scrap, sampling material, and assisting with inventory management. The position requires a commitment to safety and the ability to work in diverse weather conditions.

• Knowledge of scrap is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple types of material handling equipment i.e. Dump Truck, Wheel Loader, Skid Steer Loader and Forklift, in a safe and productive manner.
• Load Containers, sort scrap, sample material, any others duties as requested by Lead or supervisor.
• Inspect Equipment prior to operation, fuel, lubricate daily.
• Assist Lead and Supervisor with identification and tracking of all inventory upgrades and changes in classification to assist with perpetual inventory goals.
• Ability to cross train on various equipment types.
• All other duties as requested by Lead and Supervisor.
