About The Position

Taylor Corporation is looking for an Equipment Operator I to operate and maintain printing press equipment while producing high-quality work that meets customer requirements and production deadlines. In this role, you will prepare materials, monitor print quality and work closely with the production team to keep jobs moving safely and efficiently.

Requirements

Ability to adjust equipment settings to required tolerances.
Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
Strong mechanical ability.
Ability to read and understand job instructions.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
Ability to regularly remain in a stationary position.
Ability to continuously operate machinery and handle products, including printed materials.
Ability to frequently move throughout the facility.
Ability to regularly lift, push, pull and/or carry 25 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

Prepare and operate printing press equipment according to job specifications, quality standards and company procedures.
Perform daily, weekly and monthly equipment maintenance to ensure reliable performance.
Prepare inks for the correct color and consistency.
Check paper for the correct type, size, color and quantity.
Check plates for the correct format.
Inspect printed materials throughout each run to ensure quality.
Coordinate with the production team to prioritize jobs and adjust the production schedule when deadlines change.
Follow all safety requirements for the position and equipment.
