About The Position

Waste Control, a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a full time, year-round Heavy Equipment Operator/ Laborer at our facility in Longview, Washington. The Starting rate of pay is $25.11/HR. The Schedule will be Monday- Friday from 7am- 5:30pm. Waste Connections is an integrated solid waste services company that provides solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services in mostly exclusive and secondary markets. Requirements

  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as Front End Loader, Fork Lift, and other Heavy Equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine inspection and maintenance on Equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Helps with Flagging on Site to ensure traffic is flowing.
  • Helps Drivers Tarp Trucks.
  • Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Works well with the public.
