What You’ll Do As an Equipment Operator with Corrosion Service, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our field services are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably. You'll take ownership of accurate reporting, timesheet and expense submissions, and inventory tracking—all while maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety protocols. From supporting monthly safety meetings and compliance audits to collaborating with technical staff and fostering a positive, respectful team environment, your contribution will help shape our high-performing culture. Requirements

  • Ability to safely operate heavy construction equipment.
  • Willingness and desire to work in various weather conditions, spending long days in remote areas.
  • A Class 5 license with Heavy Trailer G Endorsement or a Class 1A is required for SK candidates.
  • Good oral, written, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, be adaptable, and work in a team environment.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Employment is conditional upon completing satisfactory background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate heavy construction equipment, including rubber tire backhoes for pipeline excavations, trenching, and backfill/compaction; skid steers for material movement, trench backfill, and site cleanup; and Ditchwitch trenching tractors for completing cable trenches.
  • Tow 2 or 3 axle trailers loaded with miscellaneous materials and equipment.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and operational function of assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment.
  • Responsible to complete the specific project task objectives.
  • Responsible for the in-field training and development of other more junior project team members.
  • Support monthly safety meetings and compliance audits.
  • Accurate reporting, timesheet and expense submissions, and inventory tracking.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with technical staff.
  • Foster a positive, respectful team environment.
