About The Position

Taylor Corporation is looking for an Equipment Operator in our North Mankato-MN facility. This role involves preparing and operating printing press equipment in compliance with job specifications and company quality standards. The position requires performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal output, preparing inks for proper color and consistency, checking paper for type, size, color, and quantity, and checking plates for the correct format. The Equipment Operator will also visually inspect forms throughout the run for quality and coordinate with the Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, reorganizing as necessary to meet deadlines. Maintaining knowledge of safety requirements for the job and equipment is essential.

Requirements

Ability to set adjustable mechanism to required tolerances
High degree of mathematical skills and attention to detail
High degree of mechanical ability
Good reading ability
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
Ability to work in an environment with regular exposure to printing inks, solvents, and chemicals; required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Frequently required to move inside the facility
Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

Responsibilities
