About The Position

The Equipment Operator plays a critical role in the efficient and safe operation of heavy machinery within our Ann Arbor, MI facility. This position is responsible for handling, maneuvering, and maintaining various types of equipment to support production and operational goals. The successful candidate will ensure that all equipment is operated in compliance with safety standards and company policies, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying mechanical issues and collaborating with maintenance teams to resolve them promptly. Ultimately, the Equipment Operator contributes to a smooth workflow by supporting material movement and site operations with precision and care. JOB SUMMARY: Performs various project tasks that require safely operating vehicles and a variety of heavy and agricultural equipment, including, but not limited to, front-end loaders, skid steers, track-hoes, and bulldozers.

Requirements

Operate heavy/agricultural equipment safely
Verbal and Written Communication
Ability to follow directions.
Ability to perform basic math.
Mechanical and electrical aptitude
Clean MVR

Nice To Haves

Dump truck and/or yard jockey experience a plus, not required

Responsibilities

Always operate equipment in a safe manner
Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned/approved destination.
Serve as a company ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the equipment.
Perform shop clean-up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup.
Maintain operation records.
