About The Position

Freedom Excavating & Trenching is hiring an Equipment Operator to run excavators, skid steers, and loaders on underground utility projects. This role is focused on trenching, digging, and supporting underground electrical and data installs. You'll be working with a crew that expects solid work, safe operation, and someone who can keep things moving and work independently.

Requirements

• Experience operating excavators, skid steers, or similar equipment
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow direction and work well with a crew
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to perform physical job demands throughout the day
• Valid driver's license required

Nice To Haves

• CDL, OSHA 10/30 preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as excavators, skid steers, mini-excavators, and loaders
• Perform trenching and excavation for underground electrical and data utilities
• Assist with horizontal directional drilling operations
• Dig, backfill, and grade trenches according to project requirements
• Work closely with foremen and crew members to keep projects moving safely and efficiently
• Identify and avoid underground utilities during excavation
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Follow all company safety policies and jobsite procedures
• Support the crew wherever needed to help keep projects moving
