About The Position

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift truck or reach truck to load/unload products from inbound/outbound trailers. The Equipment Operator will also perform quality checks on products for identification errors or shortages and conduct routine equipment maintenance as needed.

Requirements

• Some warehouse or stock experience is required
• Knowledge of basic math
• Knowledge of warehouse operations
• Ability to operate forklift, reach truck, rider jack, battery charger and slip-sheet attachment
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills
• Required to wear and use appropriate safety gear including boots and back belt

Responsibilities

• Provide for safe operation of a forklift with a slip-sheet attachment, a reach truck, and a rider jack in an effort to stock, down stock, and rotate dated product by stock number to correct aisle and pulling order.
• Provide routine inspections on inventory for possible damages and prepare for shipment.
• Document all discrepancies on inbound freight accurately.
• Provide down stock on all sales aides and stack or restack product pallets.
• Recharge reach truck and change propane tanks on forklift when needed.
• Maintain accurate operation of wands or scanner guns in detecting errors on inbound shipments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in other areas as needed.
