About The Position

Taylor Corporation is looking for an Equipment Operator I to join our production team. In this role, you will prepare and operate printing press equipment according to job specifications, company quality standards, and production procedures. This is a hands-on position for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced print production environment.

Requirements

Ability to set adjustable mechanisms to required tolerances.
Strong math skills and attention to detail.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Good reading ability.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions.
Ability to work accurately in a production environment.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
Constantly operates machinery and handles products, including print materials.
Frequently required to move inside the facility.
Regularly move up to 25+ pounds, including lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying.

Responsibilities

Prepare and operate printing press equipment according to job specifications and company quality standards.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on equipment to support optimum output.
Prepare inks for proper color and consistency.
Check paper for type, size, color, and quantity.
Check plates for correct format.
Visually inspect forms throughout the run to ensure quality standards are met.
Coordinate with the production team to prioritize jobs and adjust as needed for deadline changes or updates.
Maintain knowledge of safety requirements for the job and equipment.
Keep work area clean, organized, and aligned with safety and production standards.
