About The Position

The Equipment Operator & Laborer will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, managing material transport, and executing general site labor tasks essential to day-to-day industrial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in industrial site operations and contribute to impactful projects. This is a shift position, with day shit and overnight shift options available, out of our Monessen, PA facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation or general industrial site labor.
• Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery, including mobile equipment and conveyor systems.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to enforce quality and safety standards consistently.

Nice To Haves

• technical or trade training preferred
• 1+ years’ experience running forklifts, small mobile equipment, skid steers, and/or metal experience preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment—including forklifts, loaders, excavators, cranes, and haul trucks—to stage, transport, and process materials for production lines.
• Execute site clearing, staging area setup, material sorting, and physical site preparation to maintain continuous workflow.
• Feed raw materials to production areas and conveyor systems in strict alignment with operational schedules.
• Perform routine daily inspections on assigned machinery, mobile equipment, and conveyor systems to ensure optimal performance and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct basic maintenance tasks (e.g., fluid checks, greasing, equipment cleaning) and report mechanical defects or repair needs immediately to supervisor/maintenance staff.
• Strictly comply with all OSHA guidelines, construction regulations, industrial environment standards, and company safety policies.
• Maintain a secure, orderly, and hazard-free work area; participate in routine site safety briefings and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Perform physically demanding manual labor tasks, site setup, and rigging support as needed when heavy machinery is not in active use.
• Collaborate effectively with production technicians, maintenance teams, and site supervisors to complete project deliverables safely and on time.
