About The Position
Operates road construction vehicles and equipment.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school/GED Program.
- Two (2) years of work-related experience in operating heavy equipment.
- Must have a valid Class A or B Texas Driver’s License and good driving record.
- Will be required to provide a copy of a 10-year driving history.
- Must maintain a good driving record and remain in compliance with Article II, Subdivision II of Chapter 90 of the Dallas County Code.
- Mandatory drug testing prior to employment, and will be subject to random, unannounced drug and/or alcohol testing during employment.
- Ability to read grade stakes.
Responsibilities
- Operates construction vehicles, equipment, and heavy and light trucks in a safe and skillful manner, to include sheepsfooter rollers, mixers, water trucks, dozers, and other equipment.
- Assists patching and bridge crews as assigned.
- Completes daily activity and operating reports.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
