About The Position
This role involves operating and maintaining a Petroleum Coke Handling System, which includes a PLC-controlled conveyor and crusher system. Daily operations include inspection, clean-up, and minor troubleshooting requiring mechanical aptitude. The position also requires operating heavy equipment such as frontend loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, water trucks, and large excavators. Responsibilities include completing daily paperwork, assisting maintenance personnel, and taking an active role in the safety program.
Requirements
- 1 year of refinery, plant, or industrial experience.
- Class B CDL preferred.
- Read, write, and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instructions.
- Environmental & Safety Awareness.
- Cooperates and works well with others in either one-on-one or group situations.
- Contributes actively to team objectives, takes on responsibilities, and is responsible for actions.
Responsibilities
- Operate/maintain Petroleum Coke Handling System including PLC-controlled conveyor/crusher system.
- Perform daily inspection, clean-up, and maintenance of the conveyor/crusher system.
- Operate/maintain heavy equipment including frontend loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, water trucks, and large excavators.
- Complete and maintain required daily paperwork.
- Assist Maintenance personnel as needed.
- Occasionally work in areas outside of normal duties.
- Take an active role in the safety program, ensuring safe behaviors.
