About The Position

Sundt is looking for an experienced working Equipment Operator Foreman to oversee various operators and heavy equipment including backhoes, excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, haul trucks, dump trucks, and water trucks. The role involves ensuring safe operation through preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections. The position is estimated for a 1-year duration, with overtime required. A pre-employment drug screen is mandatory. The pay rate is $36.56/hr plus cash fringe benefit, with a weekly per diem of $1,246 for qualified candidates. Working hours are 60+ per week.

Requirements

Minimum of three years (level I), four years (level II), five years (level III), and six plus years of experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry.
In-depth understanding of the operation of various types of heavy construction equipment.
Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, safety and quality standards.
Effectively utilize all trade tools and equipment relevant to the work.
Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
Must be available to work overtime.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment, including backhoes, excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, haul trucks, dump trucks, and water trucks.
Perform preventative maintenance and pre-shift walk-around inspections of assigned equipment to ensure safe operation.
Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members.
Produce high-quality work safely and productively.
Provide feedback to ensure all necessary materials, tools, equipment, and information are available for the work.
Identify opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means, and methods related to the work and be willing to learn from others.
Continuously seek opportunities to share knowledge and teach others.
Perform high proficiency in preventative maintenance for all related equipment.
Inspect subordinates' work, ensuring accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications, explaining deficiencies, and taking corrective action.
Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage, and time.
