About The Position

Taylor Print & Visual Impressions, a Taylor Corporation company, is looking for an Equipment Operator to run Kluge equipment at our Bloomington, IL facility. This is a full-time position on the 1st shift, Monday – Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Requirements

  • Basic bindery knowledge and skills to operate bindery equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos and follow directions
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate folder-gluer equipment according to job specifications and production requirements.
  • Read and interpret job tickets, planning sheets, layouts, and samples to ensure proper setup.
  • Set up feeders, folding sections, glue systems, compression sections, and other machine components as required.
  • Run jobs efficiently while maintaining production speed, accuracy, and quality standards.
  • Monitor glue application, folding, alignment, scoring, and finished product throughout the run.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet job specifications and quality requirements.
  • Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Complete all required work according to production schedules and customer deadlines.
  • Follow established safety, quality, and operating procedures.
  • Report defective materials, machine issues, or quality concerns to the Supervisor or Lead.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
  • Work as part of the bindery team and assist with other production needs as directed.
