About The Position

As an Equipment Operator at Silver Creek Materials, you will play a key role in the daily operation of one of the largest sand, aggregate, composting, mulching, mining and recycling facilities in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The position involves safely operating and maintaining heavy equipment used in mining, material processing, and site operations while supporting production goals and maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment in the mining, compost, and/or construction industry.
Basic mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills.
Must comply with background check and Drug-free Workplace Policy.
Compliance with safety regulations as outlined by the Company and OSHA/MSHA.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended time periods.
Ability to physically lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers / peers in job duties.
Must be dependable and coachable.
Valid Driver's License required.

Nice To Haves

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
CDL with tanker endorsement preferred.
Truck loading and site prep experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers, track loaders, water trucks, bulldozers, and graders safely and efficiently.
Conduct thorough pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
Perform basic preventive maintenance and report equipment issues promptly.
Move, load, unload, and transport materials throughout the site.
Follow OSHA/MSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production and operational goals.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, fuel usage, maintenance activities, and incidents
