About The Position

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift or other powered material handling equipment to move, stack, or pick and pull merchandise. Work may include all phases of warehousing as needed, including shipping, receiving, inventorying, product repackaging, palletizing, and equipment operation. The role operates in warehouse conditions, with exposure to vibration, awkward or confined workspaces, varying seasonal temperatures, outdoor weather, work above ground level, and typical loud noises. Requirements

• At least 6 months of verifiable work experience within the prior 36 months operating material handling equipment required for the role, such as a sit-down or stand-up forklift, reach truck, or cherry/order picker.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to carry and climb a ladder.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including at least two hours continuously, four times during an eight-hour day.
• Ability to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently.
• Ability to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards, and perform daily inspections and maintenance.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using powered material handling equipment and appropriate lifting devices.
• Move inbound shipments safely to storage locations.
• Stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy for loading and shipment.
• Move products from staging or storage areas into trailers or containers.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Perform pick-and-pack, light assembly, labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
• Maintain appropriate records and reports to support inventory control and security measures.
• Assist with physical inventories as needed.
